Sustainability and Athletics: A necessary balance
This webinar will explore many ways we can build winning intercollegiate, club, and intermural sports programs without losing our precious natural resources. From facilities to fields, uniforms to travel schedules, concessions to tailgating, there are many opportunities to use green innovation to reduce costs, serve the community, enhance fan experience, attract sponsors, and more.
Featured Presenters:
- Dave Newport, Director, Environmental Center at University of Colorado
- Scott Jenkins, Seattle Mariners Vice President – Ball Park Operations (formerly with the Philadelphia Eagles)
Our presenters are have been on the frontlines of effective greening efforts at the intercollegiate and professional level. Athletic directors, sports facilities managers, coaches, players, intramural and club sports staff are encouraged to attend, along with sustainability officers, faculty, staff, and students. Emphasis will be on best practices and the practical application of strategies focused on real results. There will be time for Q & A and discussion.
