About Climate Change

Teaching About Climate Change Conference

Peterson Toscano

As performance artist, and scholar, Peterson Toscano has used humor and storytelling for over 10 years to connect with audiences about complicated and contentious topics. His one-person comedies around LGBTQ issues, faith, and gender have reached a wide diversity of people throughout North America, Europe, and Africa.

He is now applying his unique style of personal narrative mixed with grounded scholarship wrapped up in zany characters to help people better understand some of the many aspects of climate change. In addition to his performance lectures, he is the host of Climate Stew, the radio show that takes a serious look at global warming but doesn’t try to scare the snot out of you.

Peterson will share some of the creative and oddball approaches he has used on some of the most unlikely audiences. Hilarious, thoughtful, and full of hope, Peterson helps model fresh approaches in communicating climate change.
